Therapeutic Bodywork :: Washington, DC
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
48 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 48 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. Exceptions are considered when a true emergency or illness arise.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their missed appointment.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session payment. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time. Don't let rush hour traffic interfere with your session! Give yourself extra commute time.
There are times when massage is contraindicated, and could actually intensify and prolong your illness. If you feel like you may be getting sick or you have an active cold, flu, cough, sore throat, stomach virus, or anything contagious, please promptly reschedule your appointment. If you've been sick and don't cancel until day of massage, you could be charged for missed session. Please contact us promptly.
Payment is due at time of or before session. Cash or check payment is optimal and appreciated. If needed, Visa or Mastercard is accepted. Receipt is available upon request.
All services are strictly professional and non-sexual in nature. Any overt or suggestive statements or actions will result in termination of session and the therapeutic relationship, and payment will be due in full. If appropriate, law enforcement may be contacted.
All verbal and written information provided will be kept strictly confidential, except where mandated by law.
Therapeutic massage is not intended to provide medical examination or diagnosis and shall not be considered to serve as a substitute for medical treatment. There are certain circumstances under which massage may be contraindicated and it may be necessary at times to refer you to a physician or another healthcare provider. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information on your health intake form and to inform your therapist of any updates to your health status.
Thank you for your consideration!
